Notes:

Her father was leading Roman Catholic conveyancer and legal adviser of his day. He acted as agent for four convents, all closely connected, like him, with the Jacobite cause, the Benedictines of Dunkirk and Brussels, the Dominicans of Brussels and the Augustinians at Louvain. Four of his surviving six children entered religious orders. See R. G,. Williams, ODNB.
