Notes:

The evidence of the Will of Fleetwood Butler, spinster, proved 15 April 1772, is pretty conclusive that her five nieces Margaret, Elizabeth, Fleetwood, Anne and Teresa, to each of whom she left a five pound annuity for life, are all identifiable with nuns of this period, four of whom appear in our sources (TNA PROB 11/976). The parents of two of them are given in the Sepulchrine source as Lancelot Butler (of Rawcliffe Hall) Lancs, and his wife Alice Taylor (of Eccleston).
