She left at an unknown date for health reasons.
Intended to become a nun but suffered from very bad health, which it was hoped the air in England would ease.
She professed Apr 1644.[Provisionally professed by Ursulines shortly before death. Had she lived she would have returned as nun to Louvain.]
She was the sister of Mary Thimelby.She was the great aunt of Mary Conquest, Eleanor Conquest.
She was the aunt of Catherine Aston.
She was the sister-in-law of Gertrude Thimelby.
She was the niece of Elizabeth Clifford.

According to Hamilton, Louvain 2, p. 151, she was professed conditionally on her deathbed, having once returned to England in 1635 because of poor health. Thanks to Victoria Van Hyning we can now supply the text, which she has transcribed from an unpublished manuscript of Louvain Chronicle (chronicle of St Monica's), 'Little Chronicles' MS C19: '1643 went out of our Monastery Sister Frances Thimbleby be ye councell of ye Doctor for her health she came first in with her sister ye year 1630 her Sister Winefrid who was elder took ye habit when she was of age but ys was too young so remaind here till 1635 when ye town was beseiged at which time she went into Ingland & remained there 3 years & then returned to our monastery again where in 1642 she tooke ye habit ye 31 of August & remained nouice till her going to Liege as mentiond she went ye 22 of Sep 1643 where falling dangerously sich she desired to be professd a member of our community but death preventing her grant therof from hence she obtained of ye superiour of ye Ursulins to make her proofession, conditionly yt if she liued she might be free to come back hether. she was professd on ye of april [sic] & dyed ye 21 of ye same month 1644 we said for her all ye Diriges & sung ye 3 masses as if she had been present.'
