Notes:

Had attended the Institute's school in Paris and was certainly there in 1653 before travelling to Munich with Mary Poyntz. Helen Thwing and three other Paris girls entered in Munich. She was one of the five that settled at Dolebank, Yorks, on 1677 29 Sep and in 1678 seems to have been in charge of the house at Heworth Manor.

She was at the house in York when her brother, Fr Thomas Thwing, was martyred in the same city on 1678 23 Oct.

Her great-uncle, Fr Edward Thwing, was martyred in Lancaster on 1600 26 Jul.
